This week, I'm introducing The Guidebook, a structured process for creative projects. And, I'm recruiting a cohort of people to work on creative projects alongside me this fall.

Today, I'll talk about some logistics for how a group of us will work on our own creative projects, using The Guidebook.
We'll have two ways to communicate. Guidebook Fridays will be live, interactive video meetings. Slack will host our asynchronous discussions.

- Share progress, celebrating successes and working through challenges
- Discuss the next stage of The Guidebook
- Set goals for the coming week
The Guidebook Friday sessions will be at 2pm my time. In the continental US, that's 3pm Eastern, 2pm Central, 1pm Mountain, noon Pacific, 11am Alaska.
In September, that's 9am in Honolulu, 8pm in London and 5am in Sydney. As we go through seasonal time changes, we'll get out of sync, but you can count 9am or 10am in Hawaii, on 7pm or 8pm in London, and on 5am or 6am in Sydney. Let me know if you'll be checking in from another time zone - I get a kick out of working these things out.
We'll meet using YouTube Live Event (formerly known as Google's Hangout on Air). This platform allows us to see and talk to each other. To fully participate, you'll need a webcam and microphone-if you're using a modern laptop, it probably has both. The experience is almost as good with just a microphone.
Guidebook Fridays are optional. No one is going to be able to make any particular meeting time. The Guidebook Friday sessions will be available for replay and there will be plenty of material on Slack to work through The Guidebook.
Slack. Slack is a virtual space for groups to work together. We'll have threads for every stage of The Guidebook, for each of us to keep a progress log, and ones for questions and resources. We'll post links to the Guidebook Friday sessions, in case you want to replay them.
Slack is available 24/7 so that every one can join in at a convenient time and place.
