Coffee is Calling: Talk to the Hand... Good Morning and Happy Hump-day!  Let's start with yesterday... I grabbed this juice before heading out to class...
Coffee is Calling: Talk to the Hand...It was SUPER fresh tasting.  At one point I thought; wow, this is pretty much like licking grass, but not in a bad way.  I felt freakishly energized yesterday!  I was so amped while I taught my class, I fear I may have scared off students!  And they all sat there, looking so defeated and sleepy with their red bulls and sodas.  Come to the green side people...  On the drive home I noticed how vibrant the colors are, they seemed even more beautiful than normal.  I was breaking into sweats(out toxins out) and decided that when I got home I needed to eat something with protein.(slow down the toxins)
Coffee is Calling: Talk to the Hand...So I grabbed some hummus and rice crackers.  I felt much more calm and grounded.  These first few days, as my body adjusts, I will be much more affected then say... two months from now.  This is a journey of listening to what my body is trying to tell me.  So far, I'd say it's telling me; mmmmm greens!
Coffee is Calling: Talk to the Hand...My mind, on the other hand, is telling me I want coffee.  And then this little number showed up in the mail...  I was craving an iced latte in a bad way - but their soy milk is LOADED with sugars.  I considered getting an Iced Herbal Tea, but that didn't sound as good.  I decided to hang on to the coupon(perhaps I'll give it to someone who can enjoy the caffeinated, sugared beverage more than me right now) and I created my own concoction.
Coffee is Calling: Talk to the Hand... In the Mix:
-1 cup almond milk
-6 dates
-1 tsp cinnamon
-dash of nutmeg
-dash of cardamom
-handful of ice
-blend
YUMMY blended "chai" like beverage - hit the spot!

Coffee is Calling: Talk to the Hand...This morning's breakfast is a keeper!  In the Mix:-2 cups spinach tightly packed-1 cup almond milk-1/2 frozen banana-1 apple-1 scoop Rice Protein PowderBlend, Enjoy! I woke up craving coffee again... it's super dark and rainy here today.  I had to PUSH myself to drink my water, but once I finish it - I feel WAY more energized than if I'd just had a huge latte.  This one is definitely a mental and physical hurtle.  Coffee gives that instant jolt that I'm looking for when I get out of bed; however it starts of my day with dehydration which leads to a serious drop in energy by noon.  Even if I do go back to having morning coffee - I will keep my habit of starting my day with 32oz. of water first thing, every day.
