Cobourg Set to Go Country Wild This June!

Posted on the 24 April 2017 by Hendrik Pape @soundcheckblg

Some great news for country music fans east of Toronto who may have been disappointed when Boots and Hearts moved from Bowmanville to the Barrie area. Cobourg is set to get Country Wild as it plans to welcome the stars of Canadian country music for one day this June.

Announced early this year we've had our eye on Country Wild to see how their lineup would develop as their inaugural date neared.

The first acts announced were JUNO Award Nominees, CCMA and CMAO winners Cold Creek Country, who will headline the event, and CMAO Nominees Runaway Angel and local favorites Gentleman Husbands.

The lineup was expanded this spring to include Kansas Stone, Sawmill Road, Colin Amey, Sacha, Marc Ekins
and SweetGrass Band.

The event is set to take place at Cobourg's Victoria Park on June 3 with entertainment set to start at 3pm and run up until 11pm. The event is open to all ages, tickets start at $30 and are available now!

This is shaping up to be another fantastic event to add to your summer calendar don't miss it!

Field Service Tech by day, Live Music Nut by night! My family and I call the Thousand Islands region of Ontario home. I'm a blogger, social media geek, tech, and live music fanatic. I founded Sound Check Entertainment in 2010 to help promote festivals and emerging artists from across Canada and the world! I now act as festivals liaison, manage media relations and, of course, cover events in the National Capital region. I'm also a diehard Habs fan but Sens fans fear not; as long as they aren't playing against my Habs I cheer just as loud for the Sens.
