Wrapping things up on our two part journey of . Our CMW 2017 Recap Part II will bring you all the details of where we were from Thursday through Saturday which showcased some amazing talent, night after night. We had an eventful week at Canadian Music Week in Toronto. Through showcase events, interviews and even autograph signings, CMW proves to get bigger and bigger with each coming year.

WHITEHORSE LIVE @ THE PHOENIX

What an electric night at The Phoenix on Thursday. Whitehorse, compiled of Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland brought their unique sound to the sold out crowd. Luke Doucet's Gretsch White Falcon and impeccable tone, combined with Melissa McClelland's blazing vocals and badass P- Bass playing, have made the duo's sound is unmistakably, inventively 'Whitehorse.' This was a show you didn't want to miss if you were attending CMW this year!

CAVEBOY LIVE @ ADELAIDE HALL

The Montreal based trio brought down the house at Adelaide Hall on Friday night. With a fresh perspective on indie dreampop, Caveboy roots themselves in the primal and builds to multilayered experiences. Influenced by similar childhood identities, Caveboy is the culmination of the shared life experiences of its three members Michelle Bensimon (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Synth), Isabelle Banos (Synth, Bass, Backing Vocals) and Lana Cooney (Drums, Backing Vocals). With a powerful live set not to be missed, Caveboy are the band you'll be talking about the next day.

MIDNIGHT SHINE LIVE @ THE HORSESHOE TAVERN

Everyone was out for Saturday night and they showed up to see Midnight Shine! With a brand new single - Sister Love - released on March 13, 2017, Midnight Shine came to play and rock the crowd of The legendary Horseshoe Tavern. If you didn't get the chance to see Midnight Shine LIVE at the Horseshoe, go check them out! They're a 'must-hear' band you'll take a real shine to.

ONE BAD SON LIVE @ THE HORSESHOE TAVERN

Saturday night had no shortage of incredible talent. One Bad Son put on one hell of a performance at The Horseshoe Tavern and brought the crowd to their feet all night long. In their twelve years as a band, One Bad Son (also known as OBS) has achieved two Top 5 singles and five Top 10 singles, has performed with the likes of Def Leppard and Judas Priest and worked with notable producers such as Gavin Brown (Three Days Grace, Billy Talent, Metric, The Tragically Hip) and Eric Ratz (Monster Truck, The Arkells). One Bad Son have clearly made their stamp noticeable in Canada to date. Make sure you make yourself aware of these guys, because we feel like they're just getting started!

VALLEY LIVE @ THE DRAKE HOTEL

We wrapped up our Saturday night at The Drake Hotel with a local band called VALLEY. The Drake Hotel was packed and we knew right away that the buzz around this band was the real deal. Their second EP, which drops in May 2016, represents enormous growth for VALLEY in both sound and stature, seeing the band garner features on several blogs and sharing the stage with A Great Big World among others. The timeless, anthemic song craft for which VALLEY has become known unequivocally marks them as the next great North American band to watch. The show was electric, to say the least. This band has something and when you put that into their live show, it elevates them to a much higher level.
