Closing Date of Kedarnath Temple - 2015

In 2015, Closing date of Kedarnath Shrine is on 13 November at 8:00 AM morning. According to the traditional customs, door closing of Kedarnath Temple is falls on the occasion of Bhaiya Dooj (The Indian Festival ,sisters pray for their brothers to have happy and long lives). 

Kedarnath Temple during winter

On 13rd November, the Palanquin of Baba Kedarnath depart for Ukhimath, A winter place of Baba Kedarnath ji where worshiped performed for the next 6 month. on the same day the Palanquin of Baba Kedarnath stay in Gurikund or Rampur (according to time). Next day lord Kedarnath Doli will stay in a holy place, Guptakashi, where Shiva to escape from Pandavas. and the next day Lord Shiva palanquin will stay in Ukhimath for the next 6 month.
From 2015, Government of Uttarakhand initiated "The Wintering Char Dham Yatra" so that devotee can Darshan of Lord Shiva Doli in winter season also.
