CLOSET TREASURES- SPLIT PERSONALITY
Hope you guys had a great Christmas, and are now enjoying the deals around town during the post-Christmas sale. It was a challenge to resist the pre- Christmas deals but today I caved and took advantage of the Banana Republic extra 50% off sale and bought this. I also bought this at Macy's and this from ASOS, all for under $50. Buoy, I love a sweet deal !

You must be wondering, what a stooge I am, who keeps dancing to the tunes of store sales. Whichever store offers sale, she gets pulled into it. Another thought- does she ever repeat/recycle her clothes or is she  always store chasing for every new outfit post...?????Well, my answer to this would be not always. Let me explain it to you. At the beginning of every month I make a wishlist of items from my go-to stores, at sites that offer you options of picking up a price point you are willing to pay for each item on your list. They notify you of any price drop and also provide you with the individual store coupon, if any available. I have a serious problem of couponing, I confess. If a store has no coupon, I don't shop. So this way, I buy what I need keeping a check on my budget. So when it comes to putting outfits together, I would rather mix old and new pieces to create fresh looks, than to be clad in new always. Oftentimes it's fun and you don't know what hidden treasures you might find. One treasure hunt find was the shirt dress I am wearing today, actually I wore it on Christmas Eve. Now you would ask- where is the dress in the pictures.....?. HO HO HO, it is the dress that you saw last here, makes a comeback today in the form of a skirt . The inspiration comes from this, a beauty that seems to have taken the blog industry by storm. As the green value of this runs in the upper $$$, and my budget forbids such a splurge, I decided to shop my own closet to hunt down something similar. I rejoiced at rediscovering the dress that seemed to have potential of  a contender to the designer version . It is silk, has some poof and is pleated. An added bonus it is printed. All I did was folded the dress inside and slipped into it, having a zipper eased the process. Moreover the belt helped  keeping the dress/skirt from slipping. The top that you see is also from the golden age when I was buying pieces to build up my closet (2007). So the skirt/dress is a year and a half old and the shirt is 6 years old. Together they rejoiced and sang Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve and the lil elf aka ME, blew my own trumpet of how successfully I recycled my old closet.

Shifting gears to my nails, the minute Kapil saw it- 'SPLIT PERSONALITY nails' was what he said. Hence the caption extension. What do you say and think of my multitasker dress?????????
