After more than a year process of acquisition, the lengthy process of Disney acquiring 21st Century Fox is finally done. The merger was finalized on March 20, 2019 after recieved final approval from antitrust regulators around the world in recent months.
The acqusition gives Disney full control over a number of 21st Century Fox business line such as the company’s entire movie division, and 30% of Hulu streaming service and also Fox Television Group. Now, all 21st Century Fox movies project that has finished, is on-going, and will be relesead in the future will be under the name of Disney.
Flashback to the past, the early name of the company was Fox Film and was founded on February 1, 1914 before it changed its name into 20th Century Fox. Its 104 years old history makes it one of the biggest movie studios in the USA and even in the world.
