“Recover” is still on heavy rotation at my pad so it’s safe to say I’m going to be picky/ overly critical of anyone messing with its electropop goodness. Cid Rim fails to impress here with arcade game-esque production that could easily fit any number of other songs – belonging to indie or bubblegum pop or whathaveyou – and so misses the mark by copying and pasting the original’s vocals. Pity.
