Church and White Linen

Look of the Day – First #ootd post after four long years everyone! This is my 237th outfit post aside from my 365 days project in 2011. I feel like I’ve outgrown doing this gig but to my surprise I still get collab/sponsorship emails every now and then. It is hard to pass up the opportunity especially now that I am trying to get my blog up and running again. Anyway, 7 years and 600+ outfits later, hello I’m back!

Church and White Linen

White linen cami dress and black cateye sunglasses, Zaful. Pink lace-up sneakers, Superga. Dainty necklace, Aliexpress.

Sidenote: I’m using the Pond’s BB Cream as a primer here. It works well when it comes to oil-control and mattifying my face despite being all sweaty that day. Read my review about the Pond’s Flawless Radiance line.

What do you think about the linen trend? I don’t exactly know when it started but I had doubts on it being too see-through. When I got my package from Zaful, I was surprised. It wasn’t as bad as I initially thought. I like the grainy cheesecloth-like texture. Easy to wear, very light, and airy. Plus, it makes my crumpled dress look presentable. Teehee!

Our little nugget is finally making an appearance here on the blog. Yay! If you have been following me on my other socials, then I am more than sure that you’ve seen this black brindle frenchie on my feed. The unofficial name I have given him is Chabachichong. It’s a combination of two words chubby and chichong (titong) which literally means small. Lol! He was still a little puppy when he was brought home and those were the words that came to my mind when I saw him. Nowadays, we prefer to call him Church. It has a nice ring to it not to mention that it makes people curious as to why we named him that. Such mystery. Much wow.

On a serious note, I can’t even begin telling you how much this dog changed me. Church pretty much became my emotional support animal and got me out of my sucky stagnant mood that I was in for years. Remember how I was rambling about just existing but not really living? That isn’t the case now, thankfully. I didn’t want to be attached to another animal after Amber but about two weeks into caring for what was then a tiny helpless puppy, I thought “Aaaah… f*ck it! This better be worth it!” and it was. Everything changed after. I had a purpose; a responsibility. My perspective took a 180. I started being active again (I have to take him on walks duh) and excited to start the day. Well, except for the part when I have to get up uber early to let him out and let him in several times at 6am. We spoiled this dog so much it’s ridiculous.

This outtake is a glimpse of reality. It’s funny how this dynamite keeps me happy and tired all at the same time. Haha!
