Christmas at Longwood Gardens – East Conservatory

By Pattyhankins @PattyHankins

Christmas in the East Conservatory at Longwood Gardens is always a sight to be seen. I always enter the conservatory through the East Conservatory entrance – which means this sets the scene for me for the amazing decorations every year.

This year’s theme for A Longwood Christmas is stars – so there are star ornaments and decorations throughout the gardens.

As you enter the East Conservatory – right in front of you is the Longwood Tree – an 19 foot spinning Douglas fir – decorated with silver and white ornaments.

The Floral Trees are a trio of Douglas Firs with 80 white hydrangea plants as decorations.

Nestled in an area near the Green Wall is a beautiful tree with blue and silver ornaments – including oragami paper stars.
