Chopard Disney Jewelry for Harrod’s

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

Disney’s fantasies come to life in a new line of high-fashion jewelry created by Swiss jewelry designer Chopard, sometimes known as “Jeweler to the Stars.” The line of haute jouaillerie includes ten pieces inspired by Belle, Arial, Cinderella and other Disney princesses. The collection, which will debut at Harrods as part of their holiday celebration, will include a selection of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.

A necklace inspired by Belle’s dress in The Beauty and the Beast boasts the highest price of any of the pieces of princess jewelry at a respectable £748,000. The necklace is made of white gold and features fine stones and 69-carat tanzanite and blue sapphires as well as oval and marquise-cut amethysts.

Chopard calls the Snow White-inspired ring a “delectably delightful high jeweler creation.” The apple ring includes some rather unusual and highly rare brown diamonds for the stem and round emeralds and tsavorites for the green leaf. It’s highly unlikely the Evil Queen would give this apple away however, with its £92,000 price tag.

The apple themed ring is fun but no piece does better of capturing the Disney spirit than this pair of earrings that pays homage to Sleeping Beauty. A pair of songbirds made of emeralds and tsavorites appear captured in flight, each carrying flowers made of amethysts and paraibas tourmalines.

The collection was designed by Chopard ‘s co-president and artistic director, Caroline Scheufele who said Chopard has long been inspired by the works of Disney, even before this commission for Harrods: “The world of Walt Disney has often been an inspiration for the variety of Chopard. I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to design the famous princesses’ pieces of jeweler.” The pieces are a limited edition run that will be available only for this holiday season at Harrods of London.
