While the trailer for Lars Von Trier’s upcoming Nymphomaniac is pretty terrifying, star Charlotte Gainsbourg’s cover of “Hey Joe” gracefully toes the line between eerie and pretty. The Beck-produced track is lifted from the film’s soundtrack, and feels sort of like a psychedelic cross between The Velvet Underground and Sea Change era Beck himself. Thanks to Gainsbourg’s whispery vocals, it’s pretty perfect for a gloomy, snowy day.
