Channeling the Indian in Me

No matter how westernized I become, deep down in my heart I am a true Indian. I celebrate, at least make an effort to celebrate all major Indian festivals with the same zeal as in India, observe all the fasts that have been long-observed in past generations and like any other Indian, never miss a chance of wearing traditional clothing. Saturday was no exception to this grab-all-chances of channeling my Indian side. If not for the Indian Engagement ceremony past weekend, this anarkali suit (last worn here ) would still be gathering dust in my closet. The weather was beautiful and perfect to take this baby out for a spin. Needless to say that "thank you " was my favorite word for the evening ! I don't know when this beauty will see light again but I am pretty sure whenever that happens it will continue creating quite the stir.
