Channeling Myrtle Snow with a Bewitching Vince Camuto Cape

Channeling Myrtle Snow with a Bewitching Vince Camuto Cape
I, like many witches women, have been coveting a cape for years now. While not necessarily a wardrobe staple, it's definitely a statement piece that dances the boundaries between costume, menswear, and, dare I say, a practical investment. Easy to toss on, it adds instant oomph and a dash of mystery, too.
Keep away from costumey by opting for a dark neutral like black, navy, or gray -only one bitch can pull off a technicolor dreamcoat in style and that's Andre Leon Talley, thank you very much!
Correction - ALT, and of course everyone's favorite silverscreen she-devil and ferocious fashion crossover Myrtle Snow, who likely never met a cape she couldn't bewitch in.
I channeled the Grace Coddington protege my first autumnal outfit this year, pairing a Vince Camuto blazer/cape with a gray wool dress by Theory, a gray wool hat from H&M, and a belt pouch perfect for toting around potions. Practically speaking, it served to cinch in the silhouette to give a bit more structure to the drapey material.
Et voila! Fashion magic.

Before I leave you, I must admit after looking through photos to select some for this blog post, I couldn't help but notice a nod to my favorite stylist, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, whose name may very well be a magic spell and who merely waves a wand over editorials to create iconic and unforgettable looks. She ain't too hard on the eyes, either!
