It is Friday once again and that means it is time to celebrate some of the good things that have happened during the week.
This week, I am celebrating:
1. The four stems of roses that I had cut from our neighbor's rose bushes have taken! Yes! they all are thriving and one even has a tiny bud. It is the very first time I have planted anything on my own (my Dad has the mega green thumb in the family) and I am sooooooo happy. Can't wait for those roses to start flowering.
2. It appears I have been diagnosed with SLE but the doctor says I am so lucky that I do not have multiple organs affected. Now that is something to celebrate!
3. Game of Thrones season 4! Okay so the books are much more exciting and much more awesome than the HBO series, but... the series is pretty good too. (By the way... I am keeping my eyes, fingers, arms, legs, and toes crossed that George RR Martin will finally finish Winds of Winter before all my hair turns gray -- I am just dying to find out what happens to John Snow and Arya Stark.)
4. I am able to keep up with the April 2014 A to Z Challenge post schedules. It is no easy feat as I have to go to the doctor, get tests done and even work on getting a diagnostic procedure done.
What have you got to celebrate this week? Whatever you may be celebrating, I am celebrating with you -- with some delicious maja blanca (coconut pudding with sweet corn).
