NYDJ Alina Legging (not a legging as I think of it, but a nicely slim cut leg)
I'll confess, I'm a jean-aholic. I have several pair in rotation, and always feel most at home in jeans. My current favorites are these NYDJ Alina's, which are stretchy, lightweight, cut nice and slim through the leg, but not so skinny that they look painted on. They have a nice rise, hitting just below the navel with no gaping in the back. I'm still quite sold on this brand for fit and range of styles, but will say that sizing can still sometimes be inconsistent between styles, so you have to try them on.I know that current wisdom hold that bootcuts are most universally flattering, but I prefer slim or straight legs (and find them easier to wear with a variety of shoes), in a dark wash and without distressing or embellishment. Simpler, dark wash styles are also easier to dress up and paired with a jacket can easily navigate Monday through Thursday in many business casual workplaces.
There are so many denim trends right now: printed, colored, coated, cropped, selvage, flared, boyfriend, slouchy, tuxedo style. What's your favorite?
