Happy hump day ! This week started with a bang- Monday we had 6inches of snow so most of the city businesses and schools were shut down, Tuesday Ribhya caught a cold and when she gets a cold mommy gets a cold feet. So Tuesday was mostly taking care of her, making her comfort food and warm soups and trashing countless dirty facial tissues.......one busy Mom ! But in the midst of my busy day Tuesday, I received an exciting well both exciting and non-exciting email. I got the much awaited invite from Lucky magazine to attend the Lucky FABB this year on April 4th and 5th in LA. I was thrilled and excited coz last year my application was rejected but this time I hit the jackpot and was one among the other 300 bloggers who were invited to be a part of this two day conference. Now for the non-exciting part- as this was very last minute and unexpected, I will have to take a pass due to the prior commitments and the overall cost of this trip. It really leaves me in low spirits to say and self-accept that I can't make it to the conference. Had I attended I would have not only met new bloggers but would have also learnt a lot about blogging as a business and it's insider trades. So for now I will attend this conference virtually via #luckyfabb and will save the date for the fall conference. While I hang out with this sadness, you guys enjoy my casual look from the weekend. At least someone deserves to be happy.....:(
