Cartier Exhibits Duchess of Cambridge’s Wedding Tiara In Paris

Perhaps one of the most talked about and memorable exhibition of the year “Cartier Style and History” commenced on Dec 4th at the Grand Palais in Paris, permitting visitors to get an up-close and intimate look at some of the world’s most distinguished jewels by the renowned and legendary houses. Organized by Reunion des Musées Nationaux, this mega event which runs till 16th Feb 2014 will showcase a wide array of around 600 glistening Cartier jewels, clocks, watches, diamond rings, and other petite valuable items. The chronologically set layout presents jewels, by Cartier from as early as the pearl and diamond creations from the mid 1800’s. One of the major highlight of the event is a diamond stunner adorned by the Duchess of Cambridge on her wedding day. The halo tiara worn by Kate Middleton when she married Prince William is crafted with 739 brilliantly cut diamonds and further augmented by 149 baguette cut diamonds. It is a quintessential creation of the iconic jewelers Cartier and is on display for the next 2 months at the event. Known to be the “Jeweler of kings” and also the “King of Jewelers” Cartier has not only been crafting historic pieces for the British royals, but also the American royalty and many other prominent royal houses and names around the globe.
