The Beatles were a cultural phenomenon that defined what it meant to be young and cool for a whole generation. They continue to define what it means to be a good musician. It is no surprise that their life still evokes interest even 60 years after they first started releasing their music. 1. John Lennon’s Cars
John owned two of the costlier cars of his time: a Ferrari 330 GT and a Rolls Royce Phantom V. Other than that, his 1970 Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman Limousine wasn’t any cheap either. His Ferrari was in news recently when it was put on auction in Paris by the auction firm Bonhams. Other than these cars, he also owned a Mercedes-Benz 230 SL, a 1956 Austin Princess and a 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300TD at various points in his life.
2. Paul McCartney’s Cars
Paul’s cars included a 1967 Lamborghini 400GT and an Aston Martin DB6. Prince Charles today owns an DB6, which tells us that this car is very popular among those who can afford it. Apart from these two cars, Paul also owned a Redford Mini Cooper S, a Lexus LS600H and an Austin Healey.
3. George Harrison’s Cars
Two of the cars owned by George included a McLaren F1 and a Jaguar XKE (E-Type). He also owned a 1965 Austin Martin DB5, which was in news recently because it was sold in an auction for over half a million US dollars. Apart from these cars, he also owned a 1955 Ford Anglia, a Light Car Company Rocket and a 1969 Ferrari 365 GTC.
4. Ringo Starr’s Cars
Ringo’s car collection included a 1968 Ford Mustang 289, a Mercedes-Benz 190E, a 1964 Facel Vega and a Redford de Ville. His Mustang was up for sale in 2011, telling us that that Beatles fans still want the cars that their icons owned and used.
The Beatles owned some of the costliest cars of their times, as well as cars like Mini Coopers. This is not surprising because they were known as small town lads till fame made them world-popular and rich beyond their wildest imaginings.
