Four of the biggest names in country music will headline the 2016 Big Valley Jamboree which will be held on July 28 - 31 in Camrose, Alberta. The headliner's were announced yesterday in a private email to BVJ Bandits (aka newsletter subscribers) and the official announcement was made this morning. Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Sam Hunt will headline the 24rd Annual event.
CAMROSE, AB (October 21, 2015) - The line-up for the 2016 Big Valley Jamboree is just starting to come together, and we've already got one of the most heavy hitting line ups in country music to keep you dancing for the whole August long weekend.
As many fans already know, the legendary Carrie Underwood will be returning for her second BVJ performance. After her 2007 performance she left us wanting more, and that's exactly what we'll get. Between her ever-growing list of awards and her upcoming album Storyteller, it's no wonder she's in such high demand.
Starting off the list of the boys 'round here, Blake Shelton will be making a triumphant return to the BVJ main stage. Taking time off the hit series The Voice to share his own, Blake is sure to share his latest hits along with some old favourites. No matter the weather, we can count on him to bring back the sunshine.
When it comes to the country charts, he's a riser. And when it comes to BVJ, Dierks Bentley is no stranger. Coming to Camrose for his second BVJ, Dierks will be strutting his best stuff from up to eight albums' worth of material. If you don't already love his work, by the end of August long weekend you'll say you do.
Joining us for his first BVJ performance, Sam Hunt will be sharing his unique approach to country music. And even if he's new to the Camrose scene, he'll know fellow BVJ star Carrie Underwood from the production of their recent duet "Heartbeat".
