Carpe Carmina Celebrates VI (featuring Artist Stephen Langstaff)

We're amidst carpe carmina's birthday celebration, and today's performance is a gem on its own. I'm loving how the musical contributions have turned out. How's about you? 
Liverpool born museful and emotionally stirring musician Stephen Langstaff had no easy task to master when approaching Richard Marx' moody, lyrically suspenseful hit single 'Hazard', but he did more than justice to the song of the 80's pop icone, made it his own with soothing still vibrant vocal charm and modest, atmospherically rhythmic guitar dexterity. Chapeau!

Where has Stephen Langstaff been when carpe carmina came into being? 

Over a period of several months in early 2013, soulful singer/songwriter Stephen Langstaff released acoustic session videos which strikingly proved his talent as an artist (the powerful-voiced musician performed a few songs of his repertoire, among others, the harmoniously ambient, emotionally absorbing 'Alligator' as well as fan favorite 'Smile'), serving as efficient and memorable pre-gig gimmick for his show at East Village Arts Clubs at the end of may 2013. About two weeks later, only days before carpe carminaopened its doors for music enthusiasts to explore and find exciting, creative and stirring compositions as well as promising and energetic (live) acts, the evocative songsmith promoted yet another gig of his, supporting Stewart Mac at The Borderline. And Stephen Langstaff is still gigging often, he has just recently brought his UK tour for new single 'Sirens', an ardent, blissffully sensitive and thought-provoking song, to a successful close, which left his audience longing for a lyrically inviting and melodically captivating full-length record in late 2015/early 2016. carpe carmina sure is ready for it too!
