By Sassysweetstyle @ChaniaB

I appreciate the opportunity to review the following product courtesy of CARD.com. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

When I received the opportunity to review  a Prepaid Visa Debit Card that I could customize, I was super excited! I have always wanted a super fun & girly debit/credit card to use for all of my purchases, but bank preference & interest rates always took priority over style.

With CARD.com I can have the best of both worlds! After browsing through the thousands of designs they offer, I ultimately chose the Colors option #25.

It’s PERFECT!

There are also these cool, unique card designs to choose from, including brands like:

Garfield, Popeye, Betty Paige, James Dean, Care Bears, Walking Dead, Star Trek, Autism Awareness, Breast Cancer Research, Shark Week, Where’s Waldo, Doodle Jump, Three Stooges & Nancy Drew!

Ok, so they have super cute designs, what about the money?

  • Free to order, activate and load
  • Free app and check deposits from your smartphone
  • Free direct deposit
  • Free card-to-card transfers, any time, anywhere, in seconds
  • No overdraft fees — never goes negative!
  • Safer than cash – 24/7 support, Visa fraud protection and 100% FDIC insurance on funds
  • No debt, financially responsible, no interest/credit/APRs
  • No credit check and approval in seconds
  • 22,000 in-network ATMs

I was able to request my card online in about 10 minutes after I decided on a design with a super easy sign-up form.

Within less than a week, I received my card & was able to activate online or via phone.  I chose online, which was super easy.

Once you activate your card, you can add money to your account several ways:

  • Green Dot or Money Pak
  • Load Cash at Western Union
  • Link your bank or PayPal account
  • Easy direct deposit with a simple form

Fees

  • Free for 30 days, then $5.95 monthly {unless you load at least $800 in the prior 30 days through direct deposit.}

Since this was part of a review, CARD.com provided me with $25 to spend. I had to wait a few days after activation for the money to be deposited, but once it was, I had to decide what to spend it on!

My computer mouse decided to die on me & since I had not budgeted for that this month, especially after my recent Birthday gift/Christmas shopping spree, I used my pretty pink CARD to buy myself a pretty pink mouse on Amazon.  I loaded the CARD information into my Amazon account like I would any other debit/credit card & purchased my new mouse! Easy peazy!

What do you think?

Since my husband has access to the bank & credit card accounts, it makes it IMPOSSIBLE to hide Birthday & Christmas present transactions  FOR HIM from him.  I think I will transfer a little bit of money each paycheck into my CARD.com account so I can truly surprise him this Christmas!  It also wouldn’t hurt to use for budgeting my spending on clothes, shoes, makeup & purses  better.

;)

I think this would be awesome for anyone, especially if you are having to strictly budget your money!

Have you tried CARD.com?

What design would you choose?
