Carb-a-licious

By Marensmorsels @marentweets

Yes! I did just go there.

Hey friends! Tuesday felt so slow but now I feel like the week is really flying. I’m a little sad because I haven’t gotten too much running in this week. On Tuesday I decided to lay out before my usual run with Dorothy (I had absolutely no work to do so I got to go home early) and I laid out a little too long and am sunburnt! So I skipped my runs both Tuesday and Wednesday. The good news is that I feel a lot better today so I’m thinking with regular aloe application this morning I’ll be good to go by this afternoon.

Don’t you love waking up and the sunburn feels so much better than it did the night before?

Breakfast

My breakfast was pretty much ALL CARBS! Normally I would not be okay with this scenario but as long as this settles my tummy troubles I don’t care.

1 Krusteaz buttermilk frozen waffle- 100 calories

1 mug of breakfast tea with soymilk- 25 calories

1 1/2 servings of Gluten Free Cinnamon Checks with soymilk- 255 calories

All for a total of 380 calories for breakfast!

And so far, my tummy hasn’t freaked out yet.

Tummy Troubles

Lately my digestive system has been really easily upset. Sometimes I feel awful after I run and I feel awful almost every night after eating dinner. I can’t figure out what I’m eating or doing to cause it and I’ve been trying a lot of different things to nail down what is. I was dealing with the troubles fine at first but it’s been a pretty regular thing now for a while and I’m starting to feel frustrated.

I tried taking out processed flour, I drink tons of water, I tried no sugar and no processed sugar. I did read about Gluten Allergies online and most places said that you could not feel the effects of cutting wheat or gluten out of your diet for over a month of perfect gluten-free or wheat-free eating. I definitely didn’t do it for a month.

I was hoping this wasn’t a big deal and I could simply figure out the problem on my own and fix it, but I’m starting to feel like I’d rather not eat and feel good than eat and feel yucky. That can’t be good. Hopefully I can better nail down a food or something that’s triggering it so I can steer clear of the doctors office.
