Okay so forgive the word play fail.
CanTeen is an Australian organisation that raises funds to support young people living with cancer.
Imagine being a teen, going through all the angsty stuff, and also battling cancer.
In fact, scratch that, because I can't even imagine what it would be like.
I witnessed mere Tweens obsessing over their hair in the toilets at Miss7's school yesterday. The alternative for a teen battling cancer is heartbreaking.
Which is why CanTeen's National Bandanna Day is such a rocking cause to get behind.
It's a chance for the rest of us to show our support for young people battling cancer, and help raise funds in the process.
This year CanTeen has gone all technical and hip and modern, and they've created an App - Bandanna Art for iPhone and iPad. You can design your very own bandanna and have it sent to you. Because it would be a total fashion faux pas to show up somewhere wearing the same bandanna as someone else, right?
Now, some of you may know, childhood cancer is an issue very close to me. I watched one of my most favorite people, The Feral Threesome's Godmother and close family member, lose their only child to an aggressive brain tumour. Not a day goes by that I don't silently thank the 'powers that be' for The Feral Threesome's health, while thinking of that gorgeous little boy. This is not a Sponsored Post, it's simply me supporting a cause I truly and genuinely believe in. There is nothing in this world worse than a child suffering.
So get on board, support CanTeen's annual Bandanna Day, and help make the lives of suffering kids just a little bit brighter.
