Can I Get an Update?!

By Marensmorsels @marentweets

Basically, I’ve been taking a step back from blogging and here’s why.

My intuitive eating has been going awesomely. I’m so thrilled with everything and I finally feel like I’m leading a normal care free life. Which is why blogging has definitely been pushed to the back burner. I’ve been spending my time just living and trying to make that my focus, not food or fitness and making sure I blog.

It all feels very refreshing.

I do plan to continue this blog. I’m not ending it. I just don’t need the added emphasis on food and fitness right now. Hopefully in the near future (like any day now…) I’ll get back on a daily blogging schedule. But for the time being blogging happens when I feel like it.

I’m really stoked to say that I’ve finally found out my eating/workout routine. Like I wrote in a few recent posts, I’m not a breakfast person. My day starts with a cup of coffee or tea which keeps me 124% content until about 10:45am. By 11:30 I’m hungry and ready for a pretty big lunch. I work out in the late afternoon and then eat a big dinner. When I follow this schedule I’m only hungry right before meals and I don’t need snacks. I find that I eat less food in general even though my meals are bigger. Crazy, huh?!?!

I tried working out in the early morning a day ago and it totally screwed up my entire day!! I was hungry all morning and most of the afternoon. I had the worst cravings and I couldn’t figure out what I actually wanted and ate about 3.6 different snacks before being too full to figure out what my body wanted. It was mayhem and I realized working out in the late afternoons an evenings is definitely a better choice.

When I follow my routine, I don’t have to think about food all day. I eat when I’m hungry and stop when I’m full. I feel great and energized.
