By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

Cameron Diaz, one of the most well-known actresses in Hollywood, is not taking a break from making movies. However, she is trying her hand at working in the fashion world. The WWD reports that the mid-priced accessories line, Pour La Victoire, has hired the actress as the new artistic director. Diaz has done a couple of endorsements but this time she’ll be working in a different capacity for the shoes and bags fashion icon.

Her job with the line will be much different than the average celebrity clothing line. In fact, Diaz will be involved in the advertising, marketing, and merchandising of the brand. Moreover, she will be helping with the design aspect of the handbag and shoe collections. On set for the next Terry Richardson ad campaign with Jessica Hart, Diaz has begun making her mark on the company, in addition to owning a stake of Pour La Victoire’s parent company.

Diaz has commented that she intends on having fun in her new role, but also states that she wants to learn how collections are created. Right now, the actress is calling for friends and associates to wear the line. Also, this fall and holiday season, she’ll be selecting products for “Cameron’s Picks” before her personal collection hits stores next spring. That means fans of hers will have to wait for her personal brand and so will loyal Pour La Victoire purchasers.

This is not the first time a celebrity has joined forces with a big name clothing and accessories brand, as we have seen others like Jennifer Lopez, LL Cool J, and even Beyoncé do it. But Diaz is approaching the process a bit differently, asking her celebrity friends and others to wear the brand to start exposing it to as many people as possible.

Everyone will have to wait until the spring to see if Diaz has what it takes to design a brand that the general public can fall in love with.
