Bude – The Final Day

By Kree8or @surfing_buddha

Today I’ll be going home. Has it been the best trip? Not really if I’m honest. It’s not the fault of the area or sea conditions – both of these were great. Bude is a lovely place, full of quaint shops, friendly people and a lovely area. If I hadn’t gotten injured, I would have had a much better time but hey, these things happen.

When you surf, and go on surfing trips, sometimes you’ll have great trips, sometimes not so great. It’s all part and parcel of the life we lead, but I’ll tell you this – it’s always an experience.

I’ve had some fun times down here in Bude, here are some of the highlights:

  • The surf! the few surfs I had were great fun! caught some sweet waves and as always loved every second of it.
  • The surf lesson I had with the Bude surf experience  (full review of that coming soon in the new shiny “reviews” section that I’ll be launching soon!)
  • The people I met both on the nights out and just chatting to folk
  • Being on a lovely campsite

As always it’s with a heavy heart that I start to contemplate striking camp and heading home, but on this occasion, I’m looking forward to getting back to my little castle on Hayling Island.
