As a young business person I sought out help – mentors, mastermind partners and as the people I was working with began to acquire more knowledge and expertise through classes in coaching and facilitation I was convinced my path was elsewhere.
I became their practice person – I worked through all the exercises with them, was used to bounce ideas off of – learned the various coaching schools of thought as various partners of mine took different tracks of learning.
Then my clients began needing more from me – and I found myself using many if not all of the skills I had acquired working as an apprentice to others.
That of course led me to get my own education and coaching certificate –
Now executive coaching is one of the blessings that make up my business and I am energized and excited by the amazingly talented people I coach.
Frank Tyger once said, “One of the greatest talents of all is the talent to recognize and to develop talent in others.”
Today’s call to action – can you use your considerable talent to help bring out the talent in others? Can you be ever more encouraging to your children, your lover, your co-workers?
We can do this, if we decide to – today look for the good and talent in all and encourage them; you’ll expand your talents too.
Remember you create your day by the way you think. Make it magnificent!
