Our living room used to be a mixtures of reds, blacks and gray (see here) as they are some of my favorite colours but lately I've been loving more pastel colours and the whole shabby chic look with white accessories. The other day I just had the urge to redo the living room, not majorly as we are on a tight budget right now but I thought it could do with some kind of 'lifting'.
(please excuse the carpet stains, it's a horrendous color to have with Warren & Sienna! haha!)
I found this rug from My Rug Store which was lighter gray and had the pastel colours in. I love the diamond pattern and think it makes a big difference in brightening up the living room compared to the red one we did have. They have some gorgeous rugs on this website so it's worth checking out, I adore this nautical one for a little boys room, so cute!
Top 2 heart accessories from Ponden Home, Bottom left 'quote heart' from Next, White vase from Wilkinson (old), 'Princess' plaque handmade by me.In terms of accessories, I actually had most of these lying around the house already but just pulled them altogether to create a fresher look. I'm really loving anything that has white hearts at the moment if you can tell! I really like the overall look, it's just a subtle change but one I'm much happier with.. for now! (however long it lasts!)
