Although it won’t be officially confirmed until Tuesday at 12:30pm EST the worst kept secret for RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest is, almost, out of the bag. First the July 6th Ottawa date minus a venue was posted on Lady Antebellum‘s website, only to be quickly removed (but not from many other concert listing websites).
Yesterday RBC made it, almost official, on their Facebook and Twitter accounts with this post:
Post by RBC.The distorted picture may fool some but if you look at the cover of Lady Antebellum‘s latest album, Golden, the mystery becomes less mysterious. We are ready to confirm that Lady Antebellum will be the July 6th main stage headliner for the 2014 RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest.

There will be an official announcement on Tuesday March 25 at 12:30pm EST and if you are on Twitter you are invited to follow RBC_Canada for a chance to win tickets.
This makes two bands that we are willing to “confirm” beyond a reasonable doubt, Lady A and Foreigner. Other groups that are plausible are The Killers, Styx and Queens of the Stone Age. Naturally we will have full lineup details for RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest as soon as they are officially made available (expected early next week).
