Break It Up – “New Penzance”

New Penzance 300x300 Break It Up New Penzance

With minimal yet energetic indie-pop, Philadelphia based Break It Up has a nice new summer jam to get drunk in the August sun to.  The guitar work at once clean and distorted has an untrustworthy rhythm about it.  It keeps you guessing, playing a coy and flirty game with your ears, while the female vocals stay a little cute but don’t make you wanna vomit with lines like “run away with me when the weekend comes, we’ll go anywhere we can, but what do we know…”  ”New Penzance” is the first track on Break It Up’s recently released self-titled LP available over on bandcamp.
