Bourjois really have been on fire when it comes to new releases but today I wanted to focus on one of their most loved ranges, Healthy Mix. The original Healthy Mix foundation took the blogging world by storm and since then Bourjois have added a couple more variations to the line. I can't seem to gush enough about this range because it's my go-to for foundation, but I wanted to give a quick review of each one incase there's anyone out there who isn't sure which version to go for. Each foundation gives a different coverage and finish to the skin so you need to choose carefully depending on your skin type. I have dry to combination skin with an oily t-zone so all 3 of the formulas are fine for me, although those with oily skin may want to be careful with the more dewy looking finishes.
Looking for a lighter coverage and semi-matte finish? The Healthy Mix Serum would be your best bet as its gel formula is light on the skin and gives you a nice light to medium coverage which looks very natural. This is the lightest covering foundation in the range and is perfect for those with minimal skin issues to cover, or for hotter days in the summer when heavier makeup just doesn't feel nice. The semi-matte finish is good for those with oily skin as it won't add shine to the face but will still look natural as it's not completely matte. All shades in the color range are yellow toned which I actually like as the cool tones of my skin can be warmed up a bit without looking like I'm wearing the wrong shade of foundation.
Looking for a medium coverage and dewy finish? The Healthy Mix Radiance Reveal foundation is your answer as it's a heavier coverage than the serum but still looks natural on the skin. The medium coverage is great for those who have blemishes or pigmentation issues to cover and what's great is that it doesn't cake on the skin. The dewy finish gives a lovely glow to the skin and I would highly recommend this finish to those with dry or combination skin, although I think those with oily skin should be wary as the added radiance might be a bit too shiny for you skin. Again, the shades are all more yellow toned but still look very natural on my pale and cool toned skin so you shouldn't need to worry if you've got a pale complexion like me.
Looking for a medium coverage and semi-matte finish? The original Healthy Mix Foundation is the way to go! This foundation is the one that made me fall in love with the Healthy Mix range all that time ago and I'm still so over the moon with the coverage and finish of the foundation. The medium coverage leaves your skin looking flawless with a natural semi-matte finish and I'd say this is great for all skin types as it won't cling to dry skin or add shine to oily skin. If I had to pick my favorite of the 3 foundations then it would definitely be the original Healthy Mix because of its great coverage and natural looking finish and this is especially great during the winter months when the cold weather can make your skin appear a bit dull. As with the other 2, the shade range features yellow toned colours.
