After a 2010 sophomore effort that left much to be desired, I’m anxious to see what Canadian quartet Born Ruffians will cook up next. Their yet-to-be-titled third album will be released sometime this year, and hopefully it will re-capture some of the magic that was Born Ruffians’ memorable 2008 debut, Red, Yellow, & Blue. What album number three will be like is anyone’s guess, but the sleek percussions and sprightly vocals of the melodic “With Her Shadow” are our best, most promising clues.
