Book Review: The Shadow HunterThe Shadow Hunter by Michael Prescott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a very exciting thriller that could also be considered as a horror novel -- it is scary. The story revolves around a woman named Abby Sinclair who has a very unique and dangerous job. She basically stalks stalkers. She contracts her services to security firms

Abby gets the inside scoop on stalkers by going undercover and befriending them, she then prepares a complete profile that is complete with her assessment of how much risk the stalker poses to the victim-cum-client. She can also be very deadly. And her job is also not for the faint-hearted. She has to get into the stalker's mind and that can only be done by getting really close to the monster.

She has been called in to do her thing for a stalker named Raymond Hickle. Raymond has his obsessive eyes on a news anchor. He is totally fixated and will stop at nothing to make her his. Hopefully, Abby will be able to give the security agency enough information to prevent Raymond from violently attacking the news anchor.

Michael Prescott can write a really scary story and I am beginning to wonder of this novel is more of a thriller or a horror one. It is doubtful that there is anything scarier than being stalked. Imagine someone who will not give up watching you until he or she decides to "have" you -- scary.

The action in The Shadow Hunter is incredible and you can really feel the never ending tension. Michael Prescott does a pretty good job with this book.
