Never Say Never is a saucy collection of erotic tales, each with a focus on a different type of fetish. It covers every kind of erotic fascination from voyeurism to sensory deprivation to spanking and light bondage. Each section is introduced by Alison Tyler, whose exploration of the topic and snippets from her own stories expertly tickle the reader's fancy in the best possible way.
The book is organized into a particular fetish or fantasy per chapter: voyeurism, exhibitionism, blindfolds, role-play, cross dressing and many others. Tyler gives a brief introduction to the particular subject, warming up the reader to her topic, along with some "tantalizing tips." The introduction is then followed by a topical story, hand-picked by Tyler.
As a reviewer, I found that my interest ebbed and flowed depending on the topic of each chapter. Normally, this is the type of book I would dip in and out of, reading only the sections that most appealed to me. So I had a bit of a hard time getting through it (I ended up setting it aside over the summer as I was in a mood for light fiction). That said, it was excellent - each story perfectly fit Tyler's tone and themes, creating an anthology with a unified feel. Tyler really knows her stuff, and she makes reading about such varying topics interesting and comfortable - even the sections that don't necessarily fit the reader's own interests.
This book is perfect for those who haven't yet begun to dabble in the kinkier side of sex, but will also provide some excellent inspiration for even the most seasoned practitioners. It's perfect for anyone who is curious, but a bit intimidated. Maybe you tried reading the Fifty Shades of Grey series and want a more realistic (and much better written) portrayal. This book is a great next read.
Tyler's Never Say Never provides inspiration for those curious to dip their toes into kink, new ideas for couples who already like experimenting or just some racy stories to get you hot and bothered!
