What inspired you to start your own blog?

I started my blog as a space for documenting my thoughts on fashion that I could also use as an online portfolio.

How important is the name of the blog?

I think it isn’t very important, but it has to be memorable and easy to type. Just make sure it is something you will like, if you are looking to blog for the rest of your life.

How difficult is it to find a blog niche?

I don’t think it is very difficult, as long as you are true to yourself and understand what your strengths are, thus adapting the blog accordingly and producing the best content you can possibly produce.

What is the best way to promote and grow your blog?

Creating quality content, working on projects one is passionate about and bringing together a community of people who feel the same way or who can be a part of the conversation constructively.

What is your main audience and how did you reach out to them?

I think my audience is varied, ranging between 13 to 50 year olds. It is mostly female, but there is also a significant number of male readers. I mainly reach them through the blog, and my social media channels as an extension.

How important is it for your business to attend fashion week?

I think attending fashion week is important in keeping yourself inspired, observing and celebrating new visions, new designers and show support to the people you believe in. I don’t think it brings business opportunities directly, but it’s a great way to meet like-minded people from the industry, all in one place. At times, a simple conversation does lead to a collaboration, but I give more importance to the growth and inspiration, which fashion weeks come together with.

What are the best tips for building long-term relationships and partnerships with brands?

Create content that both you and the brand you are working with would be proud of. Be professional, punctual, keep your word and commitments. Give the brand a realistic idea of what they should expect from you.

What is the biggest challenge about running a blog?

Multi-tasking, and having to manage completely different facets of the business by yourself.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to start a blog today?

Understand your interests and identify your talent. A blog is your space and you don’t need to make it like anybody else’s. Think for yourself, determine a code of conduct for your blog and don’t try to be like anybody else.

What are your ultimate plans for your blog/blogging career?

I have many different projects in mind which I am looking to pursue. I do not like to think too far in the future, rather I am incapable of doing so for the time being. I believe in being focused at the present, and taking up smaller goals one at a time. However, I do look at dedicating my whole life to FUSS and creating creative opportunities of different kinds as time progresses.
