Blessed, Yes I Am.

By Suvenchow
I've been blessed with one of the best birthdays I've ever had in a long long time. Hubby did a surprise 'fly in' from overseas and prepared my favorite 'Asian' spaghetti, while both my folks did what they had to do to get me out of the house so that hubby could prepare the surprise. I love my family, I really do. I wouldn't trade them for anything or anyone else. And I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to these few special persons in my life.
To my parents my safe haven, you both have done so much for me that it would be literally impossible to repay you back. I'm blessed because I know that no matter what I do, legally and rationally of course, I will always have you both to be there to pick me up should I fall. Thank you for always being there for me and giving me confidence to experience the world without fear.
To my mother-in-law whom I'm proud to call my mommy , you've been such an awesome mother to me. Hearing stories from friends on their in-laws made me realize how lucky I am to have such a wonderful mother-in-law whom I can actually get along with, and who actually loves me like her own daughter. You've always encouraged your son (my husband) to treat me nothing less than like a queen, for that I will forever be thankful.
To my husband my rock and pillar of strength, I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have you in my life. I'd probably be quite miserable and lost. They say you can't choose your parents and siblings, but you can choose the person whom you will spend the rest of your life with. I'm so glad I chose you and I can't wait to grow old gracefully and lovingly with you. Thank you for always believing in me and providing me a shoulder to lean on.
To my daughter my life, thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. I hope you will grow up knowing how beautiful and perfect you are in every way. Never let anyone tell you otherwise. One day, a prince will come whisk you away, but don't ever forget that mommy and daddy will always be your safety net, and there will always be a place for you in our home and in our hearts.
I am loved and blessed to have you all in my life. Thank you and I love you all heaps. <3
