Blast into July #ReadersWorkouts

By Joyweesemoll @joyweesemoll

Welcome to Readers' Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.

I met my goal of 1100 minutes of exercise in June, so I set a goal of 1200 minutes for July.

We've been dealing with heat advisories for days. We might get some relief on Friday with a thunderstorm. In St. Louis, the common phrase is "it's not the heat; it's the humidity." That's been really true for this heat wave. We've had hotter temperatures, but it is so sticky. Our longest walk of the last several days has been twenty minutes. I'm making up the time with strength-training and stretching. My body seems to appreciate the variety - I've worked some kinks out! At this point, my body is ready for a nice long walk, though!

Oh, hey! I just realized that I passed an anniversary that I meant to celebrate. July 1st marks the day that I've exercised, in some form, every day for two years!

How is your exercise going?
