Since the news of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds swapping nuptials broke there has been non-stop deliberation about who designed her gown, was is Chanel? Was it Gucci? Well I can now tell you Blake walked down the aisle in a custom-made couture bridal ball gown by Marchesa. Yes, Vogue released the news this morning that the Fashion House confirmed the news and stated that her dress featured a "hand-draped silk tulle bodice with custom crystal and rose gold embroidery." It is too rumoured that she teamed the gown with Louboutin heels (hardly surprising - she has a pair named after her!)
The pair who married on Sunday night chose to wed in Reynold's favorite town of Charleston at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant - most famously known as the set of The Notebook. Reynolds and his party wore custom-made Burberry suits while the Bridal Party too wore custom-made "blush silk chiffon Marchesa gowns with crystal-embroidered detail."All we need now are some snaps!
Are you happy Blake wore Marchesa? Who would you have liked her to wear?
