Black Friday 2014 Goodies

By Ashley Brooke, Kewpie83 @KewpieDoll83

I went a bit overboard this past Black Friday.  In my defense, there were so many amazing sales on dolls that I would have majorly regretted not picking a lot of these guys up!!!!  Of course, all of these dolls will be getting full reviews in January, but here’s a sneak peek!!!!

Wilde Imagination Black as Night Basic Parnilla:  This doll was a steal. I picked up this wigged Parnilla for under $100.  She’s my first doll in the Evangeline Ghastly line, not to mention my first Wilde Imagination purchase ever!  For some reason, I’ve always preferred Parnilla to Evangeline.  I’m not sure why, to be honest!  I think it has something to do with her face.  As far as the outfit on Black as Night Parnilla, I don’t like it. The same goes for her wig. My goal in picking up this particular doll was that I wanted a Parnilla that I could change-up every now and then.  If I had spent $200 on a fantastic, dressed to the nine’s Parnilla, I wouldn’t want to ruin her look by changing her outfits and wigs.  This basic doll gives me the freedom I wanted in my Wilde Imagination doll!

Makie Lab Makie: Makies ran an incredible sale for Black Friday.  It included a discounted price on the Makie itself and free shipping if you reached a certain price point ($115, which is the usual Makie price). I had told myself I would buy another Makie in 2015, but the sale was too good to pass up.

Wilde Imagination Patience Glinda:  I’m worried about Patience.  Wilde Imagination seems to be discounting them a lot with tag lines that play on the idea of ‘losing patience’.  That doesn’t bode well for the line.  Hopefully, Wilde Imagination is just clearing out their stock to make room for new things! This doll actually belongs to my mother.  She’s an avid Wizard of Oz doll collector. It’s interesting to see how Patience’s eyes work.  I assumed they were like a Pullip, with a mech you control, but they actually work more like a Giggles doll and move on their own.

A Girl for All Time Lydia:  Lydia arrived at my doorstep in exchange for a review.  You don’t know how excited I am to share her with you!!!  For right now, you’ll have to be content with a few photos. I don’t want her review to be overshadowed by Christmas, so her review will be posted late December or early January.  Spoiler alert– I adore Lydia!

Monster High Ghouls Talk 2-pack:  My mom stumbled upon this Monster High 2-pack, a KMart exclusive here in the States.  It’s super cute and features Catrine and Rochelle in their pajama’s.  It’s nice seeing Catrine and Rochelle in a casual look.
