A bird in a cage will still sing

But she can no longer fly

She prefers to spread her wing

Than to stay caged alive

Rocka Me in your arms

Calm me of fear

My faith grows shaky

I need to keep you near

Shackled in pain

In bed I stay

Caged just like a bird

Longing to spread my wings

Praying my words are heard

Rocka Me in your arms

Calm me of fear

My faith grows shaky

I need to keep you near

I long to sing

I long to rise

Pray I am healed

Than to slowly die

The saving touch

A drop of blood

Washes my soul

Consumes in love

I give myself over to Thee

I place myself within your arms

A Heavenly embrace is what I seek

Please keep me from all harm

Chained in sickness

Unable to fly

I am brought to my knees

Praying to God

A miracle is what I seek

Rocka Me in your arms

Calm me of fear

My faith grows shaky

I need to keep you near

Take the pain

That I may sing again

I devote myself to Thee

Heal me I pray

Allow me to live

An anointing is what I need

Rocka Me in your arms

Calm me of fear

My faith grows shaky

I need to keep you near

A bird in a cage will still sing

But she can no longer fly

She prefers to spread her wing

Than to stay caged alive
