Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion

I have used quite a few products from Biotique and all those products didn’t do anything that they claimed to, I mostly ended using Biotique face products on my body. Let’s see whether this product did what it claims to or not.

Ingredients:

Baheda (Terminalia Belerica), Methi (Trigonella foenum graecum), Madhu (Honey Mel), Ankurit gehun (Triticum valgare), Kusumbhi (Carthamus tinctorious), Vach (Acorus calamus), Lotion Q.S.

My Experience with Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion:

This is a face moisturizer and the directions says it should be applied twice in the morning and evening but in my opinion it is best suitable for night use only as it is a bit greasy and thick in texture which leaves a greasy feeling on skin so it can’t be used in the morning as no one would want to look as they have been greased in oil not also people with dry skin like me, I too don’t like that greasy or oily feeling on my skin. The texture of this lotion is quite thick and takes time to completely get absorbed and upon massaging it for a few minutes, it gets absorbed but leaves that shiny feeling behind which no one likes to see.

Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion Review
As far as my skin is concerned, my skin is really dry and it even makes my dry skin appear greasy so obviously it is not at all suitable for oily skin but extra dry skin or people who have dry patches may like it as it is highly moisturizing.

The packaging of this lotion is also not that good, it comes in a typical Biotique packaging, in a big transparent bottle with a screw cap, the mouth of the bottle is quite wide and the bottle has to be pressed hard to get the product out.

The fragrance of this lotion is a bit medicinal but is not that overpowering that it may cause headache or irritation. It will work quite good for extra dry skin but still I would suggest everyone to use it at night if you don’t want to go out with a greasy face and if you don’t mind that greasiness on your face, you can apply it in the morning as well but again the problem is that it does not contain SPF for which it can not be applied in the morning. As for the lightening claims, I have been using it for over a month now and I don’t see any lightening of my skin or a fairer complexion, it’s still the same. I purchased this moisturizer thinking that it would work in lightening the skin tone because it’s a herbal product and has mostly natural ingredients but to my disappointment it didn’t do anything as such.

Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion Review
Pros of Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion:

  • Highly moisturizing.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Great for extra dry skin or people who have rough and dry patches.
  • Easily available.

Cons of Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion:

  • Skin feels greasy on application so it’s definitely not for oily skin.
  • Didn’t see any brightening or lightening of skin.
  • Does not have SPF so it can’t be used in the morning and moreover it leaves a greasy feeling which is not appropriate for the day time.
  • The bottle has to be pressed hard to get the product out.

BML Rating: 2.5/5

Do I Recommend Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Lightening Lotion:

No, certainly not! There are far better options in the market to try out. You can skip this product but if you have extremely dry skin or rough and dry patches, you can give this a try otherwise you can skip it as it does not do anything that it claims to do.
