If you are reading this post chances are that you have a neurogenic bladder and bowel or both. I'd like to give you a heads up about a convenience that is beyond measure, a toilet seat that is raised high and wide for easy acess....
Big John toilet seats are made to accommodate people at up to 1000 pounds. I am tall but I weigh no where near that. That said I must confess, I would never be without my Big John. I use the type that has the opening in front. Not only does it have an opening in front, but it is raised quite a bit.
Because I use a catheter every time I pee having this toilet seat gives me easy access. Any woman that needs to use a tampon once a month would find this toilet seat worth the change over as well.
I do have bladder problems and am prone to bladder infection so using this toilet seat helps me keep things cleaner and gives me a straight shot. It did take be a while to get used to it. I felt like a bird perched up on a branch at first. Now however, I am truly grateful for the convenience it offers me.
I found out about it on a face book page with other people with neurogenic bladder and bowel problems. With their encouragement I sought one out and I am so glad I did.
I use this style.
