Beyond Imagination Digital Literary Magazine is probably something you have never heard about before reading this. Admittedly, there is only one reason I know about it, however I’m thankful for that one reason in many ways. For a little background into what Beyond Imagination, here is the description from the Smashwords listing: “Beyond Imagination Digital Literary Magazine is dedicated to the promotion of all things fiction. Every genre has a home at Beyond Imagination, for every fictional story is the author taking their story behind their imagination. From short stories and poetry to book reviews, author interviews and self-help articles related to publishing fiction, this magazine has it all.”
What’s special about this particular publication, is that it features a short story from Jarrod Withers, who is not only a close personal friend, but someone who has been featured here on the site in the past through his own writings, along with appearances on the original Geekasms Podcast, not to mention being one-third of Those People and Him, and being the creator of the most vicious feline of them all; Grammar Panther!!
All joking aside, I couldn’t be happier and prouder for my friend, to get this first short story published. I say first, because this is no doubt the first of many, and you’re sure to see the name Jarrod Withers in print again in the future (as a credited author, I can’t or wont assume any other reasons his name might be in print!)
Jarrod’s short story is titled Prize Inside, and features a window into one defining moment in the life of a woman named Kim. (Anything more will spoil it!)
The magazine itself is a digital publication, and is free for the Kindle and other digital formats.
You can read more about Prize Inside from the man himself over at his blog Idioms & Idiocy and can find the feed for his blog anytime at the bottom of our website, and be sure to check him out on Twitter and let him know how truly awesome he is!!
