Human body is made up of 60% water. This balance can be maintained only if every person intakes necessary amount of water on a daily basis. This balance is necessary to maintain since the body fluids perform various functions such as forming saliva and transporting nutrients to the important organs. If water is consumed in low volumes, it may lead to dehydration. Hence, it is necessary that every person drinks sufficient amount of water to keep fatigue at bay. This also keeps the body healthy and active. Additionally, it will also help in maintaining a lively mood.

Proper consumption of water may improve the blood circulation in the body. In order to determine the hydration level, one can track the color of urine. Lighter the color better will be the hydration level of the body. Water is also known to help boost the digestion system of a body. Usually due to insufficient quantity of water the colons extract water from the stools to keep the body hydrated. This makes it difficult to have regular and smooth bowel movements as the stool become hard. However, if water is consumed adequately, it helps in solving this problem and improving the functions of the gastrointestinal tract.

Water can work wonders for all those who intend to lose weight! Reports suggest drinking necessary amount of water before lunch and dinner can help decrease the appetite. A reduced appetite means a direct fall in the intake of calories. Additionally, frequent intake of water helps increase the rate at which the fat is burnt in the body. Hence, there are many people who in order to shed that extra weight consume high volume of fluids.

Consumption of water in the right amounts can also curb problems such as kidney stones. Water acts as a detoxifier and helps remove toxins from the body by way of urine and perspiration. Similarly, it cuts down the number of kidney stones by diluting the minerals as well as salts that are the main culprit of the problem. Dehydration more often makes the skin look dull and pale. One of the ways to keep the skin hydrated is to drink sufficient water so that the skin is able to retain necessary moisture and look young and lovely.

There are many benefits of drinking water, but one should always be cautious enough to have it in the right volume. Excessive water consumption can weaken the functions of the kidney. So one needs to follow the thirst pattern to drink only as much as is required.
