Vitamins are essential nutrients that are essential for the regulation, development and functioning for our body. Vitamins act as a vital ingredient for channelizing metabolism and immunity in our body. The cells in our body require vitamins in great abundance for carrying out different processes and reactions. Since our body cannot generate vitamins on their own, it is essential to consume food items that are rich in different types of vitamins. Vitamins are classified as fat soluble and water soluble vitamins. Fat soluble vitamins are the ones which automatically get restores in the fat cells of our body. Water soluble vitamins are the ones that cannot be stored. The excess part gets excreted in the form of human waste.

Our body needs all the vitamins in adequate amounts. Anything excess or less intake of vitamins becomes a threat for our body. There are different types of vitamins namely, Vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12, C, D, E and K.

  • Vitamin A-Vitamin A acts as a key agent for strengthening and maintaining the vision, immunity and cellular growth. Deficiency of Vitamin A leads to night blindness, Keratomalacia and hyperkeratosis. Vitamin A is essential to be consumed right from infant stage. The levels of consumption differ depending upon the age and requirement in our body. The rich sources of Vitamin A can be procured in items like milk, spinach, soy milk, leafy vegetables, orange, liver, squash, pumpkin, carrots, etc….
  •  Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12-The series of Vitamin B is highly essential for the normal growth and metabolism cycle in our body. They have a direct relation with the digestive system in our body. Vitamin B is rich in relieving the mind from stress, channelizes memory power, cures depression and anxiety problems, relieves from PMS and reduces the risk of heart attack. The rich sources of vitamin B are leafy vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, mushrooms, bananas, peanuts, bread, cereals, dairy products, etc…
  •  Vitamin C-Vitamin C is chemically known as ascorbic acid. It is one of the key vitamins in our dietary consumption. It acts as a protecting agent for our immunity system, cardiovascular diseases, skin wrinkling, gum bleeding, etc… High level of Vitamin C is a key indicator for a healthy body.
