Benefit The POREfessional

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
I'm sure everyone has heard enough about the Benefit freebies in Glamour magazine for the June issue, but after giving The POREfessional a fair try over the past few weeks I thought I would put my 2 cents in and give you my thoughts on it. The sample size is tiny to say the least but I've found it to last a lot longer than I originally thought, with plenty of the 7.5ml sample left for me to take on holiday.

The POREfessional is a balm which almost looks like a tinted moisturiser when applied to the back of your hand, but after applying and blending to the face all color is gone and you are left with a smooth finish to the skin. The big selling point of this primer is that it claims to 'minimise the appearance of pores' and after using it for the past few weeks I have to say that I definitely agree with Benefit's claim. If you are a regular reader of my blog you will probably know that I have problems with large and very visible pores around my nose and cheeks and after using this primer it is safe to say that they were just about erased after my foundation was applied. As a newbie to primers I wasn't exactly sure what to expect in terms of foundation longevity but I've found it to last a fair bit longer but nothing too spectacular, with the foundation fading in a more gradual way as opposed to the horrible patches and flaky bits which can sometimes be left. All in all I'm very happy with The POREfessional and wish I had picked up more of the samples before Glamour sold out as mine seems to be lasting a long time, however I don't think I could justify spending £23.50 on a full size tube as it is very much on the pricey side. What did you think of the Benefit samples?
