Benefit Rockateur Box o’ Powder

By A Beauty Feature @abeautyfeature

Benefit Rockateur Box o’ Powder has a “rose gold.” hue,  Rose gold describes this powder well, a mix of pink, beige, and brown, rounded off with slight warm undertones and a satiny shimmer. When you first see the shade you may think its darker that your idea of Rose Gold,  but the low shimmer  in the powder all goes to make it less shiny and metallic. Rockateur comes in  the signature cardboard square with a brush, like all other Benefit face powders, and is available wherever Benefit is sold

There are other shades of Rose Gold  on many beauty counters around town,  MAC Taste Your Senses is a cream product, less shimmery, while Edward Bess Secret Affair is lighter, pinker. Tom Ford Love Lust is more shimmery, pinker. Urban Decay Naked Flushed is more matte, pinker. MAC Stereo Rose is slightly lighter, more shimmery.

Benefit has a different  texture for their new Box o’ Powder if you are a regular user you may find this one  feels quite different.  A  soft and velvety texture that does not take too much effort to have product on the brush,  you feel that you will go through the powder so quickly due to the soft texture,  it’s more finely-milled and smoother than traditional baked products you may have used in powder formulas before.

The color is build able and not cakey, so it could be applied at full intensity or applied with a lighter application for something softer.  You can begin with a  subtle satin finish that becomes more and more glow-inducing as it gets blended into the skin.  I have know users of the product comment that it will last for a good  six to eight  hours, just so you know the box is lighter in weight than  other Box o’ Powders, but the intensity of the shade is good you don’t need to go too crazy for Rose Gold glow.
