Beefeater have some good deals for children throughout the Summer holidays. From 20th July until 30th August, kids get a free Mr Men toy with every 2 or 3 course meal and there are 6 different ones to collect. Or if you fancy going for breakfast, kids eat FREE (up to two under-16s eat breakfast for free when one adult orders a full Premier Inn Breakfast. Served daily until 10.30am).
Beefeater kindly invited us to try out their restaurant as we hadn't been before. We originally booked the table for 3 of us but unexpectedly, my mom and dad joined us so when we got there we had to add 2 people onto our group. It wasn't a problem and we were seated within 5 minutes which was great. Our first impressions of the restaurant was really good; the staff seemed welcoming and helpful and the restaurant looked modern and fresh, I loved the decor.
My mum, dad and Warren ordered starters. Warren the garlic prawns, my dad the prawn cocktail and my mom got the pulled beef and yorkshire pudding. They all said they were delicious and I loved the idea of the beef and yorkshire pudding, a really unique starter!

As Sienna and I didn't have a starter, we were told that we could get some fries to nibble on before our mains came out as the fries were refillable as well as the soft drinks. I think this is fab especially if you have older kids and they can have quite the appetite.
Sienna also had fun colouring the Mr Men activity pack while we were waiting.
The kids menu was similar to most kids menus out there but there was a good choice. Sienna went for the tomato pasta, corn and garlic bread which is one of her favorite meals.
Warren went for the Steak and chips, my mom and I both had the fish and chips (I had fries) and my Dad got the signature steak. The portion sizes were great, my piece of fish was huge I couldn't eat it all which is a first for me!
Both my dad and Warren said they're steaks were good how they asked and they were really tasty. The fish and chips was pretty standard as far as it goes although I did think the fries were some of the best I've had! Warren and I couldn't stop eating them. Sienna ate most of hers and said it was yummy so that is always good.
We thought we better try the desserts even though we were all pretty full. Sienna got the 'chocolate challenge' which was marshmallows and chocolate brownie bites with chocolate sauce and ice cream. The challenge is to not get chocolate sauce around your mouth.. I bet you can guess the outcome ;) haha! My mom got the banoffee pie which looked amazing and was a big portion.
Warren and I both got the Signature apple and cherry crumble with custard and we both loved it. It wasn't too sweet which was nice but we both agreed they never give you enough crumble topping ;) My dad got the Eton mess sundae which is one of his favourites and it didn't disappoint.
At the end Sienna was given her toy.. they actually gave her 2 as they had some left over from last week so she was happy with that! She also got a little miss sunshine balloon so felt super lucky.
We were really impressed overall and we would definitely go back. I loved the presentation, particularly of the starters and the flavours of everything were really good. We definitely rate it higher than any similar chain restaurants we have been too and we were impressed when the bill came out as well. For all the food we had, the price was really reasonable.
