Happy Wednesday Lovelies. It's time for the October review of my monthly GlowwBox beauty box and I couldn't be happier with this month's picks. Ever the sucker for a good lipstick, I waited in anticipation for the Lord and Berry lipstick to arrive, after GlowwBox's previous instagram teaser, and I was not disappointed. I received the lipstick in the color 'Brick Lip' and simply adore the subtle tone and almost 'nude' shade of it. It has a flawless satin finish, which is the perfect balance between gloss and matte and it has a great creamy texture, which after 5 hours of wear (yes that long, I'm really not a keen lip licker) still kept my lips moisturized.

After applying my makeup, eyeliner and all, I proceeded to use the Nazila 'Silver Lining Luxurious eyelashes and although I don't wear false lashes, they were easy for even me to apply, given I'd probably take my own eye out trying to apply the individual lashes. The Nazila lashes come with a small tube of glue but I didn't have to apply any as the lashes had some adhesive already applied, although I probably did need some glue when the edges started lifting. The lashes are fun and glitzy for a night out and it saves you applying your own glitter liner if you were planning on it but beware if you're planning on taking them off while you're still out, because on removal those suckers took my black eyeliner off with them.

I love that I'm becoming more open to trying different hair products but I'll always have an attraction to anything with Argan oil, so I wasn't displeased to find Silverlace's Argan oil 'thairapy' moisture vitality shampoo and the conditioner included in the pretty package. The shampoo on first thoughts smelled luscious but was a bit of a pain to get out of the bottle due to its custard/glue-like consistency, although the awesome lather action made up for that. The conditioner smelled and worked like a charm, leaving the comb to easily glide through my thick hair, so it was definitely a winner for me.

When it comes to makeup removal, I tend to keep things simple with just baby wipes but even that tends to leave residue around the eyes, so I was keen to try the Eye Makeup Remover Lotion by Byphasse. Although it reminded me more of a toner than a lotion, it had a nice scent and was soothing as well as cooling on the skin. I was worried it might irritate my eyes as they are very sensitive but it felt lovely and worth the extra cotton pads that I had to use.
